A Season of Gratitude

December 10, 2019

As the MGP team reflects on the hustle and bustle of the holiday season (and 2020!), we have a lot to be thankful for – both personally and professionally.

I’m incredibly thankful for my family and being able to see my little girls grow up and discover the world! Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season and is a special time in my house to slow down, spend quality time with loved ones and friends and get excited for Christmas. Living across the country from the rest of our family, it’s also a great time to appreciate good friends who open their homes and share in the festivities. ~ Allie Gavan, Account Director

The holidays are always a time of reflection for me — a time to stop and evaluate everything I am thankful for. I am eternally grateful in this up-and-down economy to have a job in PR. Working with amazing clients and new technologies has opened my eyes to the value tech adds to my life and society in general. I am thankful for apps and mobile phones that make communication and tasks faster and more streamlined. Additionally, I am extremely grateful for the kind, consummate professionals I get to work with every day! I am also grateful to my family, who make every day worth living. ~ Jenn Johnston, Senior Account Manager

I am thankful for my family, my dog, my ancestors and the fact that I have a roof over my head and food in the cabinet. I am also thankful for the opportunity to be able to do interesting and fulfilling work. Happy Holidays everyone! ~ Justin Norton, Account Director

This holiday season, I am thankful for my college education and the support I have received from my parents to have this opportunity. As a first-generation college student, I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity it has given me the ability to get involved in the professional field. If it weren’t for everything I have learned throughout my college education, I would not be able to have such an amazing internship at MGP! ~ Oliva Farber, Account Assistant

There are a million things to be thankful for but especially my family and dear friends. Without our parents, we would not be here. What is life without friends who will stick with you through thick and thin? I’m very thankful for healthy relationships that help me grow and become a better person. My health, sometimes it’s not until we get sick that we realize how important health is! ~ Frances Lee, Director of Operations

It is so easy to get caught up in a negative mindset when there are things that aren’t as you’d hoped they’d be, or friends and family are having a hard time, but it is so important to remind yourself and those around you of what you do have in those moments of difficulty. And when I think about it, there are hundreds of things for me to be grateful for. Health, the people around me, freedom, opportunity, the list goes on. I would like to leave you with one of my favorite quotes by Jenni Young:
“Every situation in life is temporary. So, when life is good, make sure you enjoy and receive it fully. And when life is not so good, remember that it will not last forever and better days are on the way.” ~ Carla Richardson, Account Manager
